All I'm saying after the first watch is that the last scene is very possibly a hallucination due to the sugar cube drugs.
Oh and maybe...WTF???

WTF indeed :D
I was disappointed w/ Lafluer on 2 counts; 1. When he was talkng to Sayed in the cell, why not just tell him "look we need to stay together so we can figure a way back to our time". 2. I really didn't expect him to raise his hand during the vote.

I didn't understand anything about the way Sawyer acted throughout this episode.

I'm assuming Ben didn't die. If what Faraday has said is true and things can't be changed, then he won't be dead. Or... maybe Ben has been dead all along! Ha ha ha, wouldn't that be crazy?!

I was surprised by Sawyer, too. I don't think he should have raised his hand. I guess it shouldn't surprise a person, though. When you think about it, it's true to his character. He's always looked out for #1 and if other people got hurt or died, so be it... as long as he was OK. Here I was thinking he'd changed, but I guess he hasn't. He's just trying to protect himself and his new life.

I don't think Sawyer had much of a choice but to raise his hand. He was raising enough suspicion as it was. Remember he has Juliet, Kate, Jack, and Hurley also to think about. He went to Sayid, he tried to save him, he wanted to let him go.
Sayid was born to KILL, OMG, he shot a kid. I couldn't believe that one.

There is no way in hell that Ben dies.
No way.
And here is something interesting that has stuck with me since Ben said it.
He said it to Jack, when Jack was preparing to call the freighter.
Ben said, ""if you make that call, every living person on this island will die".
The use of the word "living" in that sentence intrigues me.
It really makes me believe that there is some kind of understanding that the "non-living" really do live amongst the island people.

Good point, MTJ. That was a weird way to say that. I think it is signifcant as well.

I was also thinking... Locke was shot by Ben, but survived because he was hit where there should have been a kidney. It's possible Ben will live because it hit him in the chest, where his heart should have been... if he had one. :D

I agree, I think Ben will live.
Questions:
Since Ben knew, Sayid, Kate, Jack, Juliet, and Hurley as a child, did he know them when he first seen them?
I don't think he will die, but if Ben dies will the purge happen?

The way things have happened, it seems people don't remember these things until they've happened AFTER the people have travelled back. I know... it's hard to grasp... and I don't mean to sound like I understand it, but so far what they've shown us is that the people aren't remembering things until they happen. Desmond didn't remember Faraday telling him to get a message to his mother until Faraday did it on the island, even though that should have happened years ago. It's very complicated!

On another note, did anybody expect Darryl and Darryl to show up at any time? Ha ha... the torturer was Larry of the Larry, Darryl, and Darryl fame from "Bob Newhart". :-)

I don't think this all happened before. I think the "now" versions "remember" it after the "now losties" do it in the past because the "then others" experienced it. does that make ANY sense???

desmond didn't remember ever having seen or met desmond or the others. when they were time skipping, daniel talks to desmond and gives him a thing to do. suddenly the "now" desmond remembers something that happened YEARS ago. I think he "remember"ed it because it JUST happened on the island.

BTW, if ben is really dead, I will be completely shocked!!! there's no way they'd kill the biggest bad guy on the show!!!

The thing wrong with that, though, is the whole idea that you can't change what happened. So Ben must have always been shot by Sayid. Why then wouldn't he remember Sayid? It's not adding up. If Sayid always shot Ben, he should remember it... if Sayid didn't shoot Ben before, then he changed what happened.

Oh my God, thank you Thor.
THAT is where I knew him from.
It's been bugging me.

Or Larry.
Aye.
Darryl and Darryl are sure to follow.
Help me.
