View Full Version : Will your weekend be spent with Harry?
Amazon and other pre-order places have promised delivery on the release date, so everyone should have their copy on Saturday. I'm guessing not much else will happen after it arrives :pinkyz: Good news for us... it's supposed to rain all weekend. What could be better?

What could be better ... hmmm ... having ordered it from the distributor who delivered copies on Tuesday (the day before yesterday)? I've warned my husband & son (seven years old) that Mommy will be busy all weekend and if they value their lives they will make happy together. My only concern is that I'm supposed to be leaving on vacation on Monday and I don't know how to pack and read at the same time!:read:

Amazon had better deliver Saturday... I've told the family that I'm UNAVAILABLE until the book is done... no internet either as I have no desire to be "spoiled"... I want to know what happens as I read it.... not see it posted on YAHOO or some other site.... It's supposed to be the first weekend of the Monsoon here in Phoenix... so the weather may work out for me too.... have fun on your vacation...
Sabine, have a great vacation! Will you be gone long? Where will you be?
Robinsnest, I had no idea that you could ever count on rain in Phoenix. After promising rain for the weekend all week, the weather man is now saying sunny and warm. I guess we'll have to pretend it's a rain-out anyhow.
I'm hoping the news doesn't feel the need to spoil the end. It's gotten harder and harder to read a review of anything without ruining the story.
First of all ... now I'm not leaving until Tuesday at the earliest. Maybe not until Wednesday. I have something medical I need to get cleared up (unless any of my friends here at CR would like to cyst-sit the six-cm one my left ovary until I get back ... :jesterbob:) so I'm stuck here for an extra day or two. Then, I am leaving beautiful Sarasota FL (so true) for beautiful Nashville TN, where it's just as hot as Sarasota but with no cooling breeze from the Gulf of Mexico! After a week or so there, I will be driving to the Madison area of WI so that my son can see my parents ... that's kind of coming out wrong ... he's very fond of them (my mom was his nanny for three years, until they moved north) and hasn't seen them in two years, and when you're only seven and a half that's a long time. So it's not that I don't want to see them but this is really for him because I find it very easy to love them sufficiently from a different time zone. So anyway, if you don't see me posting you will know I am road-tripping and unable to get to a computer. But I do hope to check in at least a couple of times while I'm away. I should be back around August 13.
By the way, I've read about 230 pages and it's great! I won't say more than that in case someone here hasn't gotten that far ...:read:

Funny things about the "procedure" ... I didn't need a thing. The nurse read the results wrong ... I had a 6mm cyst, not a 6cm! Boy was I happy! I am having a nice time in TN and looking forward to the drive to WI to reunite my son and his "Manna" (what he calls her).
