Lifetime renews and adds more episodes

"Army Wives" is Lifetime's highest-rated original series ever, so it's no surprise that the network wants more of the show.

Thursday the cable channel made it official, renewing the series for a second season that's due to premiere in spring 2008. It will run for 18 episodes, up from 13 this year.

But, sad for us that we have to wait until next Spring to catch up on the show. It's the best thing Lifetime has come out with in my opinion. I watch some of their original movies and they are very weak. Good plots, but they don't carry them out very well. Army Wives is a keeper and I hope it lasts for many years.

For once! Every Lifetime Original Series I've ever taken a liking too gets canceled after the first season! Finally one that's sticking around :D
