There are several good Fringe-related videos on YouTube right now. Some are very educational and you'll say Wow! I didn't know that! or Wow! I didn't see that.
Some are funny.
And some are very "Bolivia," that's fanfiction-ese for Bishop and Olivia for all you Peter/Olivia shippers:)

Next up: The Observer
The Observer is a very addictive guy.
You never know when or where he'll show up on "Fringe."
The first time we are actually made aware of him is in episode 4, "The Arrival." In this next video I'm going to list you will see that he has shown up in several episodes since then. How many times have YOU spotted him since Episode 4? I've only spotted him twice more! Many thanks to "FringeTelevision" for this excellent vid.:)

OK. Now let's take a look at some humorous Fringe videos.
The first video I'm listing here can no longer be viewed on YouTube for some reason. But you can still find it in Fox's Fringe pages of their website at fox.com.

It's a little outdated in that it was created for the Christmas season, but it is very, very clever. I think John Noble does an excellent job of narrating this Fringe version of "The Night Before Christmas." Enjoy!

There is a very funny YouTube artist named Kevin Nalts, who apparently is quite taken with "Fringe." He made a very funny parody video about how much he loves Walter Bishop. Apparently someone from the Fox Network enjoyed the video and Kevin got to meet the Fringe cast and made an even funnier video from that meeting! I am happy for Kevin Nalts (but a little jealous).

OK. Since Kevin Nalts started talking about Dr. Walter Bishop in his videos above. Let's keep talking about Walter.
He's insane(or is he?), he can be kind, and he can be really nasty when he's angry. And we don't really know what he's totally capable of. We assume he loves his son, Peter, even though Peter has said on the show that his father hooked him up to car batteries when he was a boy to check his tolerance to electric current!
And he's also funny, and has a lot of food cravings.
And he's smart, like insanely genious smart.

I totally love Walter Bishop.
One of my favorite scenes is where Walter, Olivia and Peter are discussing something.
Walter is in his pajamas and robe.
And he keeps going three steps up and three steps back.
Olivia looks at him strangely, and Walter says..."Wool socks". :)
(He's generating static electricity)
Walter gets some of the best lines in the show.
I think we are going to find out some icky things about what he did to Peter as a child though.

I just found this video tonight. This is one of the weirdest "Fringe"-y things I've ever seen-but it's growing on me.

That music video was very well done.
Incorporating all the glifs (butterfly, apple, handprint, etc) into the sequence.
Here is my take on things so far.
Walter was involved in some highly advanced experimentation.
It got the better of his mind and he ended up in the institution.
But not before he had set up some kind of "chain of events".
Nina Sharp knows about all this, because Massive Dynamics was funding Walter's work.
John Scott stumbled onto it, which explains his office with boxes of files.
Nina has John Scott's body because she is trying to extract what he had discovered.
But Walter tripped Nina up when he put Olivia in the isolation tank and let John Scott "download" his knowledge to Olivia.
That being said, Olivia has a lot more in her brain from John Scott than she has realized so far.
More will be revealed, as they say.

I agree with you. That Fringe music video is very good quality. I'm starting to get hooked on it! Don't you find it strange that I haven't found it on any other Fringe site so far? You'd think Fox would have it in their Fringe page somewhere but I haven't seen it.

Regarding your "pattern" theories, they sound very reasonable. As I said over on fanfiction, I think it's interesting that of the main characters the only two interactions we haven't seen yet are Astrid and Nina Sharpe, and Walter and Nina Sharpe.

I am hoping that we will see Walter and Nina run into each other, if not in this season then I hope in Season 2. THAT would be quite the backstory! Can you imagine the looks on their faces? I believe that Nina and Walter were lovers in the past. It is possible that Nina could be Peter's biological or even surrogate mother.:surprisedq:

Walter and Nina do have a backstory.
When Peter went to Nina for information, Nina hinted at that.
I'm not sure if Nina is Peter's mother (of whom we have not heard),
but she obviously played a pivotal part in Peter's life.

Boy this hiatus is long, don't you think?
Some of the older episodes are getting fuzzy for me.

Good thing there's fancast.com. If you don't know this site you may want to favorite it. There you can quickly choose a Fringe episode and watch it courtesy of Hulu. One catch, for some reason the pilot and episodes 2 and 3 have disappeared form the viewing menu.:( Does anyone know why? My guess is that JJ Abrams is preparing to release Season 1 of Fringe in a boxed set to the public sometime after May and he wants you to start hungering for it.

So go watch your Fringe episodes now, or whenever you want. Before the rest of them disappear.

To me, it is incredibly stupid to take this long of a break from a continuing story.
Fox will lose viewers because of it.

I believe you are right.
Sadly, it reminds me of what happened to "Alias."
Do you remember that? It was going fine for awhile, then there was a big hiatus and then all of a sudden it was back on a different night and time. From what I can remember, its return to a new night and timeslot was not that well advertised.

I am thinking all us fans should pull a "Jericho" in April or May and flood Fox with emails and letters telling them how much we love Fringe. And how we wish Fringe's production company a fast and productive move to Vancouver.

There's a guy named Josh in Tampa who has posted nine video installments on youtube.com entitled "Fringe Secrets and Recaps." He has posted one each so far for the first 9 episodes of Fringe, and it sounds like he plans to get caught up to 1.14 soon.
What I enjoy most about Josh's recaps is he points out references to JJ Abrams' other brain child, Lost, and there are MANY of them. He also points out the little "clues" that the Fringe writers have inserted that will have meaning in the next episode-cool.:cool:

Walter is wonderful in this, and I hope the good people at Bad Robot will make more of these. Will there be a papaya one? Root beer?

The FRINGE BLOGGERS website is reporting that there was a Fringe DVD Launch Party earlier this week in Vancouver to celebrate the Season 1 DVD and Blu-Ray releases on 09/08/09(they should have waited a day to get the historic 9-9-9 date!)

Ah. Now that the Season 1 DVD's are out in the world all kinds of vids are showing up on YouTube-like this one, posted by shannabanna427, of a deleted scene from Episode 8 "The Equation," in which Peter and Olivia are playing poker and betting with world famous New England Confectionery Company's (NECCO) Wafers.
Interestingly, just last night they were in the Season 1 finale. A roll of NECCO Wafers was propping up the note Walter left Peter when he went to Peter's gravesite. NECCO has been a Boston business for many, many years. (BTW, they also make those famous little conversation hearts for Valentine's Day.)

Okay, that link worked.
And I'm not sure I get what he's trying to say.
I think Season 2 began exactly as Season 1 ended, IN THIS REALITY.
If we are dealing with alternate reality, or a parallel universe,
then it would be impossible to pick up Season 2 from that point,
unless we were given a "window" to see it through.
Are we to believe that Olivia's conversation with Bell ended the moment Walter "tweaked" her vehicle to bring her back?
I think we still have a lot to learn about how these parallel realities co-exist.
And how one crosses from one to the other.
I'm still wondering what the "other me" is doing on the "other side". :cool:

Josh's explanation here of the events switching from Season 1 to Season 2 is vague.
And I agree with you that at this time we have NOT been given enough info to know when Liv switched from this world to the AU(Alternate Universe). IMO Liv switched over sometime before that car crash. And the moment that she took the header through the windshield is when she came back to the 'real world.'

Notice how quickly Peter moves to dodge the Observers' hit man's bullet. A superhuman ability of Peter's?

Also, August gives Peter his gun and nods his head twice.
Peter successfully uses the Observer's gun to protect Liv, but Broyles tells us later in the episode than no one else in the Boston FBI's lab can get it to work. Why not? Wow. I can't believe I haven't posted this famous Walter Bishop vid yet!

If you want to know how much impact this video made and distributed by FOX Television has had, see this week's TV Guide Magazine which says apparently the Emmy people had not seen this video! If they had they would have nominated John Noble for his role as Dr. Walter Bishop for an Emmy this go-round.

Broyles and Nina Sharp took Olivia to see John Scott's body in that tank(or whatever it was) in episode 1.13 entitled "The Transformation." Have you seen that one? It's one of my favorite episodes of Season I.

Broyles had to reveal to Olivia that John's body need not be exhumed to look for another glass disc buried in his hand-the same as those in the hands of Marshall Bowman, Evelina Mendoza, and Daniel Hicks.

As for 'Walternate,' I'm not exactly sure how evil his intentions really are but we were told in Part II of the finale that he wanted to destroy our universe, probably in punishment for Walter's stealing Peter, and the aftermath that 'Zero Event' caused The Other Side.
