It's such an eerie case of life imitating art.
In the King story, the main character, Thad Beaumont, develops an alter ego. Thad is an author and his alter ego is that of his main character, George Stark.
Who as King says, is "one high-toned son of a b*tch".
Stark is also a murderer.
Turns out, that when Thad was a very small boy, he had what they thought was a brain tumor.
When they operated, they found an eye and other small parts of an undeveloped twin that Thad had "absorbed" in utero.
