Again, spoilers if you haven't watched.
All in all, I was underwhelmed.
I think it's stupid that Angela and Hodgins are breaking up over Grayson.
It seemed as if this episode could have just been an hour and got tedious
because of filler to make it two hours.
I LOVE THE FACT THAT CLARK LEFT, NEVER TO RETURN.
COULD THAT MEAN SOMETHING????

1- Don't like Clark (more cause I remember him as Sydney from Crossing Jordan and I couldn't stand him there.

2- I thought the second hour we tedious too.

3- I think they had to cause problems with Ang and Hodgins and hence the breakup (not sure what I think of that, though I guess we'll see how the season plays out - I have to say I saw that break up coming from the instant of Cam's confession.)

4- I was most entertained by the preview for the upcoming eps than I was during the entire premier ep :D

5- I felt like the plot was too loose - not sure if that makes sense, but I felt like we were dragged all over from one path to another and that I could never stay on one road long enough to really get into things...

It's called bad writing. This show goes back and forth with it's writing quality. Last night's episode was very disjointed. Maybe next week's episode will be better.

LOL, yeah. I think it had potential and if it'd just been an hour long instead of two I think it would have really help the storyline and writing.

I agree with most of what's been said so far. I felt like they were cramming a lot of stuff in there unnessarily. I agree that it could've been a single hour episode. It seemed kinda like the second hour didn't really even belong with the first until the end when they made an attempt at pulling it all together by bringing it back to the rich guy's job site. I was also really excited about the previews and am ready to just move on to next week.

I am glad Clark will not be the new lab assistant. From the previews I got the feeling that they will be doing a House-esque hunt for a new assistant as I saw several different new faces working in the lab.

I was kinda dissapointed in the Angela-Hodgens breakup. If they wanted to break them up that's fine but I don't like the way they did it. I don't care how ex the guy is I don't know many men who would like an ex hanging around longer than necessary and it doesn't have to do with trust. Nor do I know many women who would be ok with a friend jumping into bed with their ex especially without clearing it first. And it's not that you still love the person either. But perhaps because it wasn't a harsh breakup they'll have the opportunity to at some point reconsile and get back together.

And just a quick comment on Zack, I hope the thirty seconds at the beginning of the episode isn't the only mention we'll get of what happened last season. I still want them to make it make more sense. Fill in the details they would have had it not been for the writers strike.

The episode had a few entertaining moments to it but overall I didn't get the same zippy Bones feeling I usually get with an episode.

In my way of thinking, this show started out slow after the writers strike as well.
Clark taking a hike after the first episode has fueled my delusions that they are re-thinking the Zack thing.
I have no interest in a "House" copycat storyline of interviewing for a new Lab Assistant.

I was disappointed with the eppy. The way they broke up Angela& Hodgens was so silly. The eppy was very disjointed and after a while I was hoping it would end and that's bad because I was so looking forward to it. I'm in the minority about Clark-I liked him -I guess it's a little reminder of Crossing Jordan.I hope next week is better.
Take care,
Katie

I saw NO reason to break up Angela & Hodgens. The fact that she was upset that her friend/co-worker slept wth her ex .. no matter that she never was in love with with him anyway, was a normal reaction. And for Hogens to get so bent out of shape about, I think, was out of character for him. A little jealousy .. OK. I hope this doesn't mean that one of the characters is going to leave. The writers must have been out of it when they came up with this break up storyline.
