View Full Version : Rosie is Finished!
Rosie O'Donnell is finally gone from The View...an early and much welcomed exit! :)

I think its sucks that EH ran Rosie off. EH is a waste of space and no friend of Rosie. Rosie is a smart person and doesnt have to have anyone tell her what to say unlike EH who is briefed before each show. If you ask me the View will tank without Ro. EH should be the one leaving. Anyone who can still defend this adminstration need to do some more research. JMHO!!!

I agree. The View was nothing more than a boring, as usual television vehicle for celebrities to come on and promote their new movie, etc., before Rosie was hired on. I'm not saying that I always agreed with all she said, BUT the Hot Topics portion was usually just that...HOT! Something to get people talking and watching a program that was a former snooze-fest. Daytime network TV talk shows are a dime a dozen and few watching them would ever remember who was on from one day to the other.
Rosie brought controversy and talked about hard things that is not the norm for usual daytime network talk show fluff.
I will say that, in my opinion, EH didn't run Rosie off. I think it was the debate among two friends (Elizabeth and Rosie's families had even vacationed together...talked, emailed, IM'd after the daily shows) that went beyond debate and became personal with (again IMHO) Rosie believing that Elizabeth did not stand up for her. Anyway, I think Ro's leaving early had more to do with the friendship issue with E than anything else and feeling betrayed. Whether it's right or wrong, true or false, doesn't always erase the feelings.
I have always hated The View. Hopefully it will die now.

I hope it does with Elizabeth still on it. I feel like banging my head against a wall everytime she speaks.
i hate that it's called 'the view' whose view??? womens??? not mine!!!!
I couldn't agree more! Even all the Rosie controversy couldn't make me watch.
My being glad that Rosie is off The View has nothing to do with her squabble with Elizabeth, but something she did to publically insult a person I know who used to work for her. Her political views don't matter to me as everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, she was downright mean to my friend and I've heard that she treats many of her personal assistants like this and I just don't like her as a person because of this. It was very mean-spririted.

I'm not a rosie fan either. I used to watch her show when it was on, she was more lighthearted then. As far as the view goes... I find that it is just a bunch of squabbling. I can't hear any one person above the next on that show and they always talk over one another. It is a very frustrating show to watch.

So true, I rarely watch the View, it makes me nervous to hear all the endless dribble from these women.
I too, liked Rosie in the beginning. I loved her in "Sleepless in Seattle" and I loved her talk show. I don't know what happened after that. She just became annoying to me. Not really because of her political issues, but just the way she mouths off I guess and she's arrogant about it.
I would call it passionate not arrogant......I think most Americans are feeling the same way she does........most just dont have the guts to say it!!! JMHO
I just read that Bob Barker thinks Rosie would be perfect to take over the Price is Right. Is this real? Are they going to continue the show (I confess, I hadn't seen it for years and thought it was off the air already)?
According to Rosies blog she was gonna have a meeting with CBS. I think it would be great. Funny thing here is that its on at the same time as the View!!!
