So, I caught a couple minutes of DAYS today and saw the photos that Kayla had up on the wall for Steve. Apparently those were photos of people Steve is suppose to care about and are his friends and family? Why was there a photo of Fauxman but not a photo of John and Marlena? I think I even saw a photo of Belle and Shawn?

I thought this was gonna be a thread about the pictures on the wall in John's room...to which I have to say...PLEASE, get rid of the "shrubbery" pic from the vow renewal!

LOL This show screws everything up. If there is something to fck up you can count on this show to do it.
Just get rid of S&K altogether. SOOOO. SICK. OF. THEM.
I'm happy she didn't have a pic of John or Marlena. You don't kidnap a man and steal his kidney for his enemy and pretend as if he's someone you care about. This is one thing Hack Hogan got right.
Yikes.. is that a real storyline right now? Stolen kidneys? I've lost touch, had such high hopes when Steve came back, but got impatient when it looked like he was going to pass on Kayla for someone else.

Kayla specifically referred to the photos on the wall as a family tree. I imagine that meant that the people on the wall would be family members.
BTW, you have good eyes. lol I couldn't catch everyone who was on the wall.

Why do you like to call her payla,her name is kayla,how would you like your favorite character called something abnoxious,I am not like that,I don't think its nice to bash other characters.I came back to DOOL because steve&Kayla were coming back I have been watching since the 80s and knew there whole story I am a big fan of theres.I thought when they left that the story started to suck it seems like its the sami show than any other character on the show.We finally got what we wanted for steve&kayla to get closer,well for her to deprogram him and of course get him out of that awful nut house,I think the storyline is going somewhere now and when steve pulled her chair,that kiss was an awesome site we fans were looking forward too.

Well, if *every* related person was put up on the wall - I think most of Salem would be up there. LOL I am sure a few walls would have been needed. It is pretty hard in Salem to find someone *not* related in some way.

Well I just wondered why the payla remark,thats why I asked,ok I seem to understand that now its like with sami I think they use Lumi instead also.I want to see more of that kiss with steve and kayla for sure.

Maybe it's too painful for Stayla to see J&M knowing they are the reasons John only has one kidney now since Kayla stole it from him cause Patch said "please" Stayla are so pathetic, I wish they'd just go away already.

Whats the wha???I wondered why kayla was called that name,is that ok with you.I am aloud to stay my opinion good and bad.I think kayla did feel bad about taking johns kidney.And by the way did you know that john has been in a coma because the actor wanted more money and thats the only reason he came out of the coma he got his money so don't blame other actors for the problems on DOOL ask the ones who are asking for more money.

Oh please. That's story's so thin it's not even funny. Drake is no different than any other actor on the show. He has a contract, which coincidentally he was/is in the middle of. It doesn't matter whether or not he wanted more money, though I don't believe for one second he did. The fact of the matter was/is that he, like everyone else on Days with a contract, is contractually bound to perform under the terms of his existing contract. Not only would Drake have to be a complete and utter moron to demand more money from a failing show while in the middle of a contract. But also he wouldn't have a leg to stand on. If they wanted him to work, he would have to come to work or be subject to breach of contract. So if you're going to believe lies, then please at least look for some that are a little more plausible.

To my knowledge, Caroline and Shawn, Sr. haven't even been by to see John. Kayla's been to see him, I think once...Then she took his kidney. Bo hasn't seen much of him, nor has Hope. Marlena's been the only one there at his bedside nine times out of ten. Belle was busy running away from Philip. Sami was marrying Lucas.
In the old days, we would have seen Kayla's feelings about doing such a thing, and we would have seen Marlena's reaction and scenes between Marlena and Kayla during a confrontation. Since Kayla's now on Tinda Lao trying to help Steve recover from the brainwashing, the fact that she took John's kidney may never be acknowledged again, but that would be a mistake because ignoring such a thing is just dumb.
But none of the different fans of the characters and couples are writing the show, so we're stuck with whatever they give us, good or bad.

I agree they should acknowledge the stolen kidney that was wrong I agree with that and would hope to see more kayla and john scenes also,I would hope they would do that in a storyline.

My post had nothing to do with fandom and everything to do with common sense. I'd be willing to bet that 9 out of 10 fans, regardless of who their favorites are, would be willing to see the glaring flaw in the rumor that Drake was sidelined because of wanting more money. The question is why can't you?
It was a rumor that was on several different boards.
I know that someone refuted it and that it was a false rumor. Everyone knows Days is in financial trouble at the moment and the stories Hogan's penning, while good in some ways, lack excitement and much of the time lack romance too...so the ratings dive and the audience is often disappointed, no matter who they follow on the show.
The actors wouldn't want to ask for raises right now, knowing that.
I'm just hoping it can be turned around. The return of the DiMeras might spark some interest and get people to tune back in. Good stories might hold those who return.
The question is, can there BE good stories? Solid stories where scenes aren't skipped? Where the audience can get invested emotionally? Where the characters are valued and treated as they should be?
