1. What is a "song of your soul"?
"In My Life" by the Beatles. It was our wedding song but it has so much more meaning to me since I lost my family at such a young age.

2. What great musician who has passed, do you miss?
I am still devastated about Chris Cornell as I was looking forward to a new CD. I have to say John Lennon. He was such a leader in music and I would love to see what he would think about music today and how his might have evolved.

3. What is a slow dance song that you have fond memories of?
"True" by Spandau Ballet. I danced to it on my birthday with an old boyfriend.

4. What music can get you dancing no matter what kind of mood
you are in?
Motown!!

5. Who performed the best version of The National Anthem?
Certainly not Jose Feliciano. I never liked that version. I think Lady Gaga or Whitney Houston. Bar none.

Weekend plans?
Lots of parties this weekend that I am looking forward to.

1. What is a "song of your soul"?
"Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. I have told my family that I want it played at my funeral.

2. What great musician who has passed, do you miss?
John Lennon is number one. But, I also miss Karen Carpenter. I loved her voice.

3. What is a slow dance song that you have fond memories of?
"Always and Forever" by Heatwave. It was a favorite when I was in high school but the memory that makes me happy was from one of our reunions. The song came on and only a few were dancing, but the whole room began to sing. It was priceless.

4. What music can get you dancing no matter what kind of mood
you are in?
"Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars. That is one I will always turn up on the radio and it makes me happy.

5. Who performed the best version of The National Anthem?
Whitney Houston

Weekend plans? Family gathering tomorrow that I'm really looking forward to. My cousins recently moved back to CA from Missouri and I can't wait to see them and their kids. Their youngest who is now 5, I haven't met in person yet.

1. What is a "song of your soul"?
Wow; this is a tough one! So many. Glad that you didn't ask for "the" song! I'd be stuck forever. I think I'll go with the Beach Boys, "In My Room". (Or The Beatles, "And I Love Her".)

2. What great musician who has passed, do you miss?
Same problem -- So Many! Going to say John Lennon this time.

3. What is a slow dance song that you have fond memories of?
“I’ve Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)” -- Otis Redding

4. What music can get you dancing no matter what kind of mood
you are in?
Memphis R&B, every time. Anything from the incredible Stax Records catalog.

5. Who performed the best version of The National Anthem?
Don't know about "best", but my favorite: Jimi Hendrix, at Woodstock.

Weekend plans?
Memorial Day parade in our little village. Plus Netflix-and-chili dogs.

Hendrix - that was an amazing rendition!!! There's another artist that would have made an incredible impact had he lived.
