Gene Wilder has passed and the world has lost yet another great funny man.
I was sad to hear the he died from complications of Alzheimer's.
That is a tragic disease and it robs people and their loved ones of so much.
I was astounded to read that he was 83 when he passed.
How did that happen?
I have always thought of him as the young and funny Gene Wilder of "Young Frankenstein" times.
Happy trails in The Summerlands, Gene.
I'm sure Gilda was there to welcome you home.

I too was so sad to hear of his passing. I was 9 years old when "Willy Wonka" was released and I remember being so enthralled with that movie. I was terrified by Mr. Slugworth and that whole ride through the tunnel down the chocolate river. And I didn't like the Oompa Loompas, but the rest of the movie was so great. I love the ending and it was one of my childhood favorites. But, I have to say, "Young Frankenstein" is by far my favorite movie of his. Thanks for the many years of entertainment and laughter. Rest in Peace, Mr. Wilder.

The only bright spot about his death is that he is with his Gilda once again. I'm sure she gave him a hard time about taking so long to get there. He was a brilliant actorl

I agree with mtj and KrisMich on this: Mel Brooks' YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN! Rent it today! :^)

And yes, 83 years old. How indeed did that happen?

R.I.P., Gene.
