1. What is the best meal you have had lately?
Spaghetti and meatballs from my favorite Italian restaurant, Cafe Prima Pasta, in Miami Beach. Had it last week.

2. What is the best purchase you have made recently?
I bought a new wallet and it is so light and really pretty. It's not black so I can find it easily in my "everything is black" purse.

3. What is the best news you've heard this month?
I have been having heart palpitations from my mitro-valve prolapse condition and had to have some heart tests. Thank God all is well!

4. If you were wearing your "Sunday best" what would you have on?
My blue and white polka dot dress from Sarah Campbell. I love it. I would wear it with my white sandals and some gold bracelets.

5. What is something that you think is "the best thing since sliced bread".
Amazon Prime!

Weekend plans?
I saw Bryan Ferry in concert last night and he was amazing! Tonight we're having dinner with friends. We wanted to see a movie but everything stinks right now.

Antipasto salad and pizza.

2. What is the best purchase you have made recently?
Hair clipper set for my husband.

My bother David's leg is healing. His doctors were afraid he was going to lose it due to infection and poor circulation.

4. If you were wearing your "Sunday best" what would you have on?
Black slacks, black blouse and black shoes. I know, blah.

5. What is something that you think is "the best thing since sliced bread".
I have no idea. Curious, I looked it up and found this.

I love the baby shower cap.

Weekend plans? Heading north tomorrow (2 hour trip) to visit my nephew. He turned 15 last week, I want to spoil him a little. He's having a rough time since losing his Dad. Please keep him in your prayers.

Agent, I'm glad all your heart tests come back good.

1. What is the best meal you have had lately?
Last Saturday night I had a ribeye steak and a baked sweet potato from The Roadhouse Grill. That sweet potato alone would have made a meal. It was so good.

2. What is the best purchase you have made recently?
Probably not the wisest purchase, but last night, I attended a jewelry party and found a necklace that was very similar to one I broke a couple of years ago. I loved that necklace and wore it all the time. It's one of those that looks good when you dress up and looks good when you are casual too. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I will wear it often.,

3. What is the best news you've heard this month?
Chelsea, a gal I used to babysit (makes me feel really old) is pregnant and they just found out that they are having a boy. Her mom is one of my closest friends and I'm just so happy for this family. This will be my friend's first grandchild.

4. If you were wearing your "Sunday best" what would you have on?
I have a dress that I bought when we went on our high school reunion cruise last year. I don't wear it often, but for very special occasions, this is what I wear.

5. What is something that you think is "the best thing since sliced bread".
The flashlight on the cell phone. I don't know how many times that thing has come in handy. I have a flashlight here at home and one in the car, but since my phone is always with me, this feature has come in handy. For instance, when you drop something out of your purse at the movie theater. Even when the lights go on at the end of the movie, it's still very dark.

Weekend plans? No big plans.

Nice to hear everyone's good news.
I've been visiting the good news network on line to get away from all the sad, depressing news on all the other sites.

Boo, the phrase "the best thing since sliced bread" refers to a gadget or invention that you think is really great.
My vote goes to programmable coffee makers.
Having coffee brewed and ready to drink is a God send when you get up at 5 AM like I do.

Good thoughts out for Boo's brother and nephew.

I am just so tired of the negativity out there. So tired. I've stopped commenting on anything that even smacks of politics. I was reading comments on news sources and the vile things that people say about other human beings truly frightens me. On a news story about the Obamas someone posted that she hopes they will rot in hell. What? You may not like him as president, but to wish that on another person. It disgusted me. I have been really trying to take a more positive stand on things and have a more optimistic outlook and stop buying into the negativity. Life is short, people, enjoy yourself and surround yourself with people you love and be kind to everyone.

I'm so tired of it all too. I can't even read anything on websites without my blood pressure going through the roof. This campaign has become so ugly.

I'm fine with political discussions that don't turn into a bashing session.
Saying that you have found Obama an ineffective President is a lot more adult than saying you hope he and his wife rot in hell.
What I find even more frightening than the comments people make is a political system that cannot even produce two main candidates that are fit for the job of President.
Now, it's all about who can raise the most money.
What a shame.

What a shame indeed. I'm glad my father isn't around to witness this travesty of an election.
