It's totally appropriate to remove Jackson from the bill, IMHO. Jackson's treatment of native Americans due to his Indian Removal Act created devastation for the Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Cherokee and Seminole tribes removing them from their ancestral lands. These were called The Civilized Tribes due to that they had already taken on a degree of integration into a more modern westernized culture, such as developing written language and learning to read and write.

The Trail of Tears for the Cherokee was nothing more than a Bataan like death march for 20,000 individuals where nearly 4,000 died of starvation, disease and exposure.

Jackson has a place in history, but with the evil he inflicted (along with Congress) on those native populations has no place of honor anymore.

Harriet Tubman didn't have an army or political force behind her and the Underground Railroad. Her heroism was amazing and she deserves the honor to take Jackson's place, so I am very pleased. :-)
