Greetings to all of the loyal and passionate fans out there. As you know, I have posted from time to time on this site (although the last year I have not) and I have always been moved and thrilled by the amount of passion and insight that so many of you have had for this show. I am deeply saddened by NBC's announcement to end the series, but I wanted to try to put it into perspective for all of you. I know that many of you are very upset by this news. But I would urge you to try to remember, in this fickle time of short lived series, Crossing Jordan had a FANTASTIC run. We were on the air for six seasons and produced 117 episodes. That is no small feat. It is Hollywood's equivalant of winning the lotery. Yes, we had more stories to tell and more life to live, but the tv business isn't what it used to be. It is bottom line and cut throat. Ratings are everything. Crossing Jordan simply couldn't survive against the giant ratings machine of American Idol. And although there were other time slots, the network is desperate for a new hit. CJ was never going to be that for them.

That said, I prefer to focus on all of the amazing things we were able to accomplish. I spent some time in New York this week with Jill and she had such a great perspective on everything. As an actor, used to living a gypsy lifestyle, she was so grateful to have six years of a real family situation with the entire CJ team. The body of work that she was able to put on the screen is simply astounding.

Ironically, Allan Arkush and I are working on the first DVD release and starting to do some of the commentaries. It makes it all the more poignant and sad knowing that the show is over. From all of us to all of you, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for keeping the fire burning for so long. It is only because of you that we were able to have such an amazing run. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Tim Kring (El Jefe)

note: I brought this over so that it won't disappear. One of the advantages of these boards is that everything posted can be kept as long as we're here, no roll off after a certain number of posts. I wish we still had everything Allan and Tim have posted over the years.

It might take me a while to find them, but I know I actually posted some of Alan's posts on the various Nigel boards I run. I'll just have to take a few days and see if I can find some. Would you like me start new threads with them or just add them here?

I'd LOVE it! Take your time, but I think it would be great to have them. Maybe I should add a sub-forum that is posts from Alan and Tim, etal. Let me know what you think. And thank you!

Having a sub board might not be a bad idea. I found on on the proboards I have....I think it was about the season six start......and I will start with the first posts in the yahoo group and see what I have (Like I said, might take a while.....I have posts that start in November of 2004....when I started the group.)

I'll start putting them on a Word Doc so I can get them in some kind of order and in one place.
