Are the old boards staying up forever? :confused: I really like this place, but it's lonely here.:(

I need to get a little pushier, I guess. I sort of thought people would prefer the new boards and would gravitate here on their own, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm sure a lot of people don't know they are here yet.

It was kinda confusing. You should just close the old boards and have them redirect to here.
I believe that is the plan. We're eventually going to turn the old boards into "read only" with no posting access. So yes, it will happen. :)

I just read that the new boards were open on the OLTL board. Has that announcement been posted on all boards? I don't remember seeing it anywhere else, but then again, I've missed alot from being gone this month.
No, not all. I posted it on all the Soap boards yesterday and a few had been told before, partly for testing and to see if anything would break. As the seasons end on the nighttime shows, I'll start adding the notice everywhere. Some people wanted to finish out the seasons on the old boards.
Glad to see you here, KrisMich. Where have you been? Busy, or off having some fun?

Hi Annie!
I was on vacation from May 2-12 in Puerto Vallarta. Before that, I was in Vancouver BC for a long weekend with friends. I still don't have a computer at home, so I am only able to check the boards on breaks at work...however, I seem to check them more than I should sometimes...LOL!
Now that I know these boards are up and running, I'll start checking them and posting here.

Now if only we can get the banners/graphics in siggies turned on! :p

I find the new boards a bit confusing, it will take some getting used too but I'm sure it is so much better once I get used to it. :)
Okay, it took me this long to figure out where The Pier was in the place. I think it should be on the front page. Just a suggestion.
I've had a hellish computer month, ending with a hosed hard d rive. And, see my sig, I don't know yet what I have left of 10 years of CR graphics, etc. I'm on a bare bones computer now until the parts arrive for M to rebuild mine and see what's left of it all. This whine is to say... I agree, I've got to do something about making things more findable. I'm not sure what, exactly, but when we first started with VB i was so dazzled by "Today's Posts" that I assumed that everyone would be using it and finding the conversations that way. Also fell in love with the forum jump. Anyhow, Once I have my off line software back, some redesign/remapping will be top of the list. In the meantime, ANY suggestions for how to make it all flow better would be greatly appreciated.
PS Did I mention that everyone should BACK UP THEIR HARD DRIIVES?
Oh Annie, sorry to hear about your computer woes. I don't back up enough, and really should.
Guess I need to get some disks and put that on the to do list.
Hope you're up and running full speed soon.
Oh, and about "Todays Posts". It doesn't tell you which boards they are on. I don't know if that is a possibility or not, but it would be nice.

I love the way you can jump from forum to forum, I watch 4 different soaps and it is so nice to be able to do that and not log out and log back in. They did a great job setting this up and it is up to us to keep it going. The one thing I really like is you do not have to go through thread after thread to find your favorite subject.

I hope people will move over to this board. I wish they would utilize it more. I think it will take shutting the old board down before that happens.

actually, my post was potentially very clever because when I said,"I'm not dressed" I was referring to me not having an avatar so that's why you couldn't see me...... only I did have an avatar that I'd forgotten about, so not so clever at all.
