HELP .. Dexter's brother

I don't remember .. :confused: .. where did Dex's brother go after they were found when his mother was killed? & why the didn't cop who took Dex, didn't take the brother?

It's been a while, so I'm not sure it was explained fully. We know that Brian was institutionalized for anti-social behavior and was released when he was "cured" at 21. I don't know how old he was when their mom dies, but Dexter was only 3 and Harry thought he could save him, but Brian was enough older, I guess he figured it was too late to help. Or he was fostered and started to act out and was then sent to the institution? Anyhow, I'm pretty sure it wasn't explained beyond Dex going with Harry and the brother was in a psych ward somewhere.

AND .. Not that Dexter & this show aren't disturing .. but .. it's getting REALY more so .. Can't wait for what he has in mind for the gitlfriend .. she's pissing him off & is she is truly disturbed .. all around! :eek:
