View Full Version : Tonight's eppy (D.O.A.) -- awesome!
I'm bummed that I can't post on the old site. Just wanted to say that I thought tonight's episode was totally awesome. I'm glad Bug finally made a move and that Lily didn't push him away. And I keep hoping Jordan and Woody will get things figured out. Maybe next week? Though it's the season finale so it's hard to tell what might happen.
I recall reading that you lucky souls who got to visit the set saw Nigel in a tux and Kate in jammies -- now we know which episode was filming!
Cheers!

Okay, I loved the episode, but my favorite part was Nigel and Kate. I'm in love with those two. I just have the time of my life watching them...
True! Once again the B-plot overshadowed the A by miles. I loved how Kate "closed" the case after every theory. They've made me happy this season.

I'm SO glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought the B plots (I think there were two B plots: Nigel and Kate and Bug and Lily) overshadowed the A plot. Don't get me wrong. I liked Jordan's case...and the personal issue of 'fathers' but my mind was more in tune with the B plots and enjoying them. So personal and satisfying. I loved both those plots.
I liked the look on Nigel's face when Kate made the comment about people working together and not killing each other. It looked like a "touche" moment. I wish we had more episodes this season to see how their relationship unfolds (it would have helped if the start of the season hadn't been delayed like it was; NBC wasted all that time!). Since we don't, it's all the more reason we need a 7th season. At the very least, they could wrap up these story lines in season 7 and perhaps do what they did for the series finale of "Third Watch" -- at the end of that episode they showed where everyone was in the future. It was a really nice wrap up and didn't leave anything hanging. Think we'll be that lucky here?

Nigel and Kate playing the game was awesome! The whole Kate and Nigel dynamic has made this season. The only complaint I have is that the whole Kate's-going-to-kill-Nigel-and him-looking-worried gag is starting to get stale.
Bug and Lily warmed my heart. I just hope Bug has a bigger place then he had in earlier seasons. If and when we get a season 7 or wrap up movie I foresee a successful Lily wedding as finale.
Maybe it was just me, but Jill didn't seem "on" this episode. (the final scene in the hospital notwithstanding. she saved it all for there) I guess that is why the A plot was close to being fast-forwardable. I found myself distracted by her changing hair color through out. Jill's highlights go from all over to chunked and back again. It probably was just the way her hair was combed and the lighting but ...yeah I wasn't really into it as I was the rest of the episode.
And personally I found the chair scene almost patronizing and painfully out of character. With a season of zero chemistry they pop a very awkward scene-lit in. I know it was suppose to be cutsy and adorably funny like the elevator scene...but...ugh. If it were something a little more in character...like a con over coffee it would have felt so out of place. If I wasn't a committed diehard shipper I would throw in the towel on the whole clusterf?ck too.
Dang, I got wordy. Sorry.

I get wordy all the time :D No worries.
And, yeah when I re-watch this I have a feeling that many parts of Jordan's case I will be fast-forwarding through. The ending scene in the hospital and when Jordan called her Dad were the two I liked. And I have no idea what was up with the hair/clothes...I tend to try not to notice those things if I can help it or I'd drive myself nuts...
That being said what the HECK was Nigel wearing. It looked like a skating costume!! It was so NOT Nigel.
And yeah, that comment about people working together threw me too. I couldn't figure it out because really Kate and Nigel have been getting along...maybe it was supposed to seem playful...but it didn't come across that way.
Oh and the chair scene...I didn't really care one way or another but man that chair was UGLY!
I get wordy all the time :D No worries.

And I was saying to myself that was "sooooo" Nigel....lol..in fact, would love to have a couple of caps of the back of it to really see what was done. (fabric painter here folks....fun to do and I always had comments when I worked about my outfits.)

I thought it was too classy for him :) The Fading dark to white long sleeve shirt he had on! :) Then again I'm a skater and I see so many men wear outfits like that. So many I couldn't help but see that outfit and cringe...cause all I could picture was Nigel out on the ice skating to so soft romantic flowy music that guys shouldn't be allowed to skate to (well most guys...)

Okay, that one....maybe you're a bit right about the black/white one. I can see where it would be conceived as something for a figure skater. (I'm an off again/on again watcher but Mom watches all the time). I was talking about the one at the end, the Jacket with the painting on the back.....

Resons why we need season 7.
1) Nigel and Kate. Once again their interactions in last nights epy were some of the best. I loved them going back and forth over the possible ways the case may have ended. Then when they acted it out at the end it was great.
2) Bug and Lily - Now that they've finally gotten together I can't wait to see how this whole thing unfolds. I loved watching the interaction between them in the epy and how Bug was taking care of the baby. Bug and Lily have been a long time coming, not unlike...
3) Jordan and Woody - Yeah some of their case work scenes weren't as interesting as the magician case. But I enjoyed the scene at the beginning and the 911 over the hideous green chair. It kind of brought back some old interaction. They may have been just throwing us a bone but still. Regardless of what happens relationship wise in the finalie, it won't be satisfying until we can see them working together as boyfriend/girlfriend and how their relationship goes in and out of the workplace.

OK...Yes...Kate and Nigel won this ep over for me. I did like the A story...Jordan's connections to her father. But I loved every scene with Nigel and Kate. The competitivness between them to be "right" about what happened. Since when have we seen Kate care so much how...or even why a person killed another person. She used to just race through autopsies and just "do her part" and that was it. I loved that she cared enough to know why the murder took place.
The Bug and Lily story was good too. I was happy Bug was finally strong about his feelings for Lily, and basically did not give Lily a choice in the matter. Very cute scene with those two in the end.
Jordan calling her dad...loved that. And the scene with her and Shawn in the hospital room. There was a lot going on in this ep. I found myself checking the clock and being excited that I was only 20 minutes into the ep because so much was going on. There were three stories to keep our minds busy.
This next week will be interesting. I know you are all doing the same as me...checking everyplace you can think of to see if CJ will be back. I figure Chad will post first as soon as he knows anything. Next weeks ep looks great. I just pray it is not our last.

Oh God yes! Is was a bit much wasn't it. The fashion watch for this episode was something to behold all the way around.
At this point, any WJ bone is better than nothing!!
Friday Night Lights just got renewed, and Bionic Woman has apparently been picked up.
No word on CJ yet.
The meanies are going to make us wait until Monday.
Not fair!!

How cute was Lily's baby?! adorable!
I loved Jordan's "You need a wife!" to Woody. -She should have put her hand up. lol
Kate and Nigel rock! Their story was SO funny. I loved when Bug walked in....
Poor Dr Macy was the odd one out in this ep. He was the only one not paired off.
-I don't want the season to end yet! ....let alone the show (if it happens)
