1. Do you have a long "to do" list? What's at the top right now?
My list isn't too long right now. The one thing I have to do today is grocery shop...the cupboards are empty.
2. If you could own any business, what would it be?
Mearle's Drive-In. It's a good old burger joint that closed last year and I'd love to re-open it.
3. Are the chores split evenly in your house?
Yup! Between me, myself and I (I live alone)
4. How does the job you have now compare to what you said you wanted to do when you grew up?
It doesn't. I wanted to be veterinarian or a teacher. I'm an accountant.
5. Do you balance your free time with your work time?
I try to.
6. Tell us about a business in your town that you think is top shelf
Taylor's Hot Dogs. It's been here for over 50 years and all it sells is hot dogs, chips and soda. It's still a little walk-up stand and the lines are always long...even late at night.
Weekend plans?
Went to the Visalia Band Review this morning. I'm going to meet a friend in a couple of minutes and then I'm going to rent a couple of movies and stay in.

Our old car died (RIP Old Bessy). She was a 1992 Mercury Topaz. She done her job well, but a bad fuel pump and a few other problems took her life. We still have the BOObus, a 1998 windstar, hoping she can be as loyal as Old Bessy. But to get to the top of my to do list, is to find another used car (cheap and running good, lol) for my daughter to drive. I need to replace the kitchen and bathroom faucets, both are leaking. I need to clean the oven before Thanksgiving, and give the kitchen a good cleaning. I could go on and on the list is long.
2. If you could own any business, what would it be?
A clothing store for larger women.
3. Are the chores split evenly in your house?
NO, it's momma does everything
4. How does the job you have now compare to what you said you wanted to do when you grew up?
I wanted to be a nurse. I'm a babysitter.
5. Do you balance your free time with your work time?
Free time, people get free time?
6. Tell us about a business in your town that you think is top shelf.
Tim Horton's is always busy. The line is backed out into the street.
Weekend plans?
Yesterday (sat), I spent the day having the old car towed in and finding out it was just to much to have fixed. I spent the rest of the day finding a junk yard to picked it up from the garage. I got $125.00 for it. I was just happy to find a place to take it for free, the money was a bonus. Today I have the usual housework, laundry and cleaning the bathroom. I have to check in on my FIL today.

1. Do you have a long "to do" list? What's at the top right now?
I am heading outside in a few minutes to clean up the yard and take out the flowers that are dying. Right after that there's a nap to be had.

2. If you could own any business, what would it be?
I would love to own a coffee shop where I could bake fresh cookies every day.

3. Are the chores split evenly in your house?
No, I'd say they are 65% my husband and 35% me. I'm spoiled, I know...

4. How does the job you have now compare to what you said you wanted to do when you grew up?
I'm a crop insurance agent. I don't think any child dreams of doing this, do they? LOL I wanted to be a teacher. I guess in a way I do teach my farmers about their policies. :)

5. Do you balance your free time with your work time?
Oh most definitely.

6. Tell us about a business in your town that you think is top shelf.
There is a shoe repair and sales shop on main street that is second to none. They know their stuff, are very good about fitting shoes and stocking really nice shoes, and they are outstanding with the repairs they do. I just love that place.

Weekend plans?
Well Friday night we celebrated my bil's 40th birthday with him, got up at o'dark thirty yesterday to head out of town to visit my hubby's grandma and his mom (grandma was a treat, mom was a chore)...then we convinced ourselves to stay for a hockey game and got home at 1 this a.m. NUTS. I've been to church this morning, cleaned my kitchen, and now on to the flowers...and the NAP, most definitely the NAP! :)

1. Do you have a long "to do" list? What's at the top right now?
Oh my, where to start. We just painted the living room, I bought new drapes, we got a new entertainment center, now we need some new art stuff for the walls, shopping around for that. We have a patio half dug and bricks everywhere, we need to hurry snow is coming. We need to rebuild part of our yard fence. I need to rearrange closets for winter stuff, and put some of summer away yet. UGH!! Never enough time!

2. If you could own any business, what would it be?
Some sort of eatery and Jimmy could be the chef, he's so good!

3. Are the chores split evenly in your house?
No, I'm so spoiled and I love it. I have a retired husband, so he does most of housework, all the cooking, and laundry if I ask.

4. How does the job you have now compare to what you said you wanted to do when you grew up? I grew up wanting to be a hairdresser, which I became and worked at for 25 years. Now I've worked my way into being an assistant manager of a clothing store. I love it,it's my second career. :)

5. Do you balance your free time with your work time? Sweet hubby makes sure we do.

6. Tell us about a business in your town that you think is top shelf. The spice of life
restaurant. They make the best Cobb salad in the world. I love to eat there.

Weekend plans? Days over, time to head to bed and go back to the work a day world tomorrow.

1. Do you have a long "to do" list? What's at the top right now?
i have a never ending to-do list. at the top of it these days is getting things ready for the baby, getting our house ready to sell, finding a new house & finding another vehicle.
2. If you could own any business, what would it be?
tough question, if we could add "guaranteed success", i'd like to try a children's book store.
3. Are the chores split evenly in your house?
i wish.
4. How does the job you have now compare to what you said you wanted to do when you grew up?
i wanted to be a teacher but i figured out quickly that teachers are dreadfully underpaid. i'm an office administrator/bookkeeper at a construction company (which i love & pays very well).
5. Do you balance your free time with your work time?
unfortunately not, but i promise to try harder ;)
6. Tell us about a business in your town that you think is top shelf.
the breakfast nook & bakery - very small resturant that makes fresh pastries everyday. they are sinfully good and very reasonably priced. i love there turnovers but have to limit myself to every other friday visits.
Weekend plans?
spent the weekend painting the exterior of our house. why i waited til i was 8 months pregnant to tackle this chore i'll never know. i am glad to be back at the office today.
