OK, apparently October is trying to make up for the entire summer. We had a very dry summer here, with a span of about 2 1/2 months where we didn't see a drop of rain. Already for October, we've had 7.8 inches, and it's supposed to rain a good share of today and tomorrow.
This is an agricultural area, so any rain that we get is good, but I know that there are farmers who still need to finish harvesting, and they can't get into soggy fields. I guess one positive is that the ground moisture should be good going into next spring.
