New Season Begins Tonight

So, how many will be watching this season? I'll give it a shot and probably get hooked as I normally do. :rolleyes: It's going to be so different without Simon though. :(

Well...I watched and I'm sure I will all season. Not sure about the new judges yet. I found that the younger contestants did really well tonight. Some 15 and 16 year olds!

Hi Dragonmom! Good to be in touch again. It's hard to judge from the first night, but so far, the new judges are okay. My friend has never watch AI before and she decided to this season, she's ready to stop. I assured her that it gets better as the season goes on and that you can't judge the show by the auditions. I hope she continues at least through Hollywood week...then she'll be hooked. :p

I usually just watch the auditions, because all the nuts are fun to watch. I didn't watch any at all last season. I do like the new judges, I didn't expect to like Jennifer because she seems so in love with herself. But I found a warmth in her I do like. Good Lord can we say scandal, Steven Tyler sure likes to flirt with the young girls. I really liked the 15 year old who sang, Sitting by the Dock of the Bay, he was so good. I might watch all of it this season.

Yeah...he does seem to act like a dirty old man doesn't he? Not sure if I like him or not. I liked that young (chubby) boy too.

Exactly! When they showed Steven Tyler getting all lusty-eyed over some of those girls, I thought, "oh please, let's not go there". I hope they don't focus on that. It's creepy.

Then last night...he was ok..just seemed more goofy. I really liked the girl last night...forgot her name. She had the guitar...had such a unique voice. Tonight will be good..finally Hollywood week!!
