View Full Version : What shows are you going to watch this season?
I usually watch 2.5 men on Mondays, Boston Legal on Tuesdays (and Nip/Tuck when it's in season), Lost on Wednesdays, CSI (Las Vegas) on Thursdays. And Medium if I can figure out what day it's on..hubby also watches MI5 and The unit.
This year I'm adding Heroes as soon as I catch up with Season One.
Bionic Woman looks interesting, and will give the new Jimmy Smits show a chance (although its Tuesday, I hope my DVR doesn't wear out:sigh:)
What do you watch?
I'm sticking with my basics - Boston Legal, Grey's, Lost, CSI (Vegas) and I've added "Back to You" with Kelsey Grammer. I love him and the show is really funny. I also watch Desperate Housewives and Curb Your Enthusiasm on Sunday nights. I don't think there are any new shows that I'm really excited about adding to my already full lineup. I'm not that interested in the Grey's spinoff even though it has my main man Tim Daly in it. I might give it a chance though.
So far I haven't seen any new shows that I'm excited about. Heroes, Bones, Eureka (though it's now half-way through it's season), Ghost Hunters, Grey's Anatomy, Men in Trees, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, NCIS, Supernatural and I'm sure there are some others. I think I need a 2nd DVR though, becuase right now I can only record 2 channels at the same time and I think I might need 3. Is that too much tv? lol
I probably will check out Reaper and Pushing Daisies at least once.

I watch Grey's, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, ER and just finished watching Dancing with the Stars...I love Maksim! I might give the Grey's spin-off a try and I also want to watch Back to You. I also can't wait for Army Wives to come back next Spring. Obviously, I watch way too much TV.
I'm watching Ken Burn's "The War" right now so I miss the first week of premiers but it's worth well worth the delay.
But once that's over LOST, Heros, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty, House, Desperate Housewives, Dancing with the Stars, Myth Busters, Antiques Roadshow. I loved Kid Nation...those kids are going to discover what tough little cookies they are!
I'm going to keep my VCR busy--we like to watch Dancing with the Stars, but my husband and I also like Prison Break and Heroes. We also watched Chuck (love it!) and Journeyman (like it) last night.
Of my old shows, I'll be watching Bones, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Friday Night Lights, Without a Trace, Cold Case and Jericho, Lost, Medium and 24 when the come back, to name the biggies.
Of the new ones, I want to try Reaper, Pushing Daisies, Bionic Woman, Life, Moonlight, Cane, Samantha Who? Aliens in America, Women's Murder Club, and I want to see if Viva Laughlin is as bad as the critics have dubbed it.
I DVR most everything, as there is no way I can sit for an hour at 8 pm or 7 pm, its bedtime and homework time and dishes and whatever at that time.
It's nice to be able to watch your show when you have the time to sit through it (and double nice to be able to FF through the commercials!)
we don't have a DVR yet, and would be unwilling to give up the VCR, anyway. We often catch up with programs over the weekend, or when there's nothing on "regular" TV that we like to watch. As the season shakes out, we'll probably lose shows that we like (I like the quirky shows that nobody else seems to watch, like Wonderfalls, Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared.)
Yeah I won't be watching most things live either. I just sat here going through all my weekly recordings trying to juggle things around (I love that SciFi reairs their shows later) so I could get everything I wanted. Tonight Dancing with the Stars looses though. It has too many other shows it interfers with. I have 9 different shows set for tonight! ACK!
I can't imagine still using a vcr. Trying to remember everything and changing tapes wouldn't work. I can set series recordings and can keep at least 80 hours to watch later. It never gets that full though. But with all the new shows I need to be able to get to at least 3 channels at the same time, and can only do 2 channels right now. BLARG! Plus I hate commercials.
Watched Cane last night. For some reason I wasn't into it that much.
We had to skip Dancing W/the Stars, too. It always seems like everythin we want to watch is jammed into the same few hours. We can record 2 at a time, but can't watch anything else while it does 2.
I'm really looking forward to Pushing Daisies. I just hope it lasts more than a few episodes. It's sone by the same people who did Wonderfalls (cancelled after... 3 eps?) and Dead Like Me (2 seasons). It is so swell looking, I just want to stare at it.
In case anyone else wants to see the PBS show The War, check your local channel. Ours is repeating the weeks worth on Sunday. We've seen a few minutes here and there and it looks impressive.
I loved Dead Like Me. But I've only watched it in reruns on SciFi. Never watched it when it was first on, either I never heard of it, or my severe dislike of Mandy Patinkin (sp?) made me avoid it.
Reaper was good, and I loved that the DMV devils worker person was the Herbig lady from Dead Like Me.

So far I like Chuck and Journeyman. Not sure yet about Bionic Woman. My old favorites are Heroes, Desperate Housewives, ER, Las Vegas, Biggest Loser, and of course American Idol and Nashville Star. I also missed Back to You, but want to see it. My other old standby is Frasier which is on every night on Lifetime.
