First Episode - Down to 13 (spoilerish)

So I didn't even realize that the dang show was starting it's new season until a few hours before hand. Thank goodness for tivo! This show is another one of my guilty pleasures so I was pretty excited.

Having watched this show for every season now, I can't help but tease Tyra for her crazy antics. "Oh Tyra, you're so fierce in your showgirl garb on the cruise!" Seriously, does this woman never quit?

I'm pretty stoked about the final 13 that were chosen, though they are pretty typical of the show. Y'know, the awkward girl, the tomboy, the crazy bitch, the girl with short hair, the girl with long hair (who you know is gonna cry when they cut it all off on make over day, muuuuhahahhahaha).

Most of all, I was supremely jealous of their first taste of the model life, a week long cruise to the Caribbean where they will be staying for the show. *sigh* Someone take me to the beach for the winter!

Anyhow, I'm currently rooting for the girl with hunchback. LOL! I can't remember her name but even though this girl isn't what you would call striking in person, her photos thus far are really natural and great. Plus, I just gotta root for the underdog.

Anyhow, did anyone else catch the show?

I caught the show and I like the girl that has the disability similar to autism. She maybe the one you are referring to as the awkward girl. Some of them could not walk which was funny because several of them thought they were all that. Ms J and his impressions of their walks was hilarious. I was surprised Tyra picked the girl that she confronted that no one had to say anything good about but I guess she needs a bitch or two in the group to make the show interesting. My opinion changes from week to week. The only show that I knew who I wanted to win from the first few shows was the one with Danielle.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she picked the bitchy one for A. ratings and B. she's a project. Tyra has clearly been leaning towards girls she thinks she can fix. Well...more power to her if she can manage. lol!

[Annie]

Yeah, good luck with that. But, they do have to have at least one bona fide bitch and Ebony def fill that bill. Heather is the asperger's/hump back girl. I like her, too. If she really has asperger's, she may fold with all the social stuff they have to do, though.

I'm looking forward to the makeovers. Who will fall to bits at the mention of a haircut this year? And who will they go totally wrong with?

I LOVE the makeover shows. I can not wait for it. John teases me because I get all excited for that episode....overly excited.

I love the makeover shows as well. It cracks me up that some of them make so much fuss over hair that can grow back. And the ones that say I am easy to work with or I am open to anything are always the ones crying or acting like a diva.

[Oda]

I died when that poor girl went through the weave process and had to have it all ripped out last season. It was both hilarious and terrifying!
