Ahoy mateys! I did a Pirate Buccaneer Bash for my boys birthday's this year. I always do a combined party for them since their birthday's are only 3 weeks apart. Seriously, this was the party of the year and I was so proud of myself. I made everyone Pirate names from a Pirate Name generator (not the one Melinda used but same concept), we did a treasure hunt around my house, I had a watermelon cut out into the shape of a pirate ship with fruit to prevent scurvy! We had such a blast, I had a blast making all the decorations and finding cool ideas for the party....and my invitations were the talk of the daycare which was such an honor! I would recommend this type of party for anyone with little ones, boys & girls had a blast. Arggghh!!

I LOVE that party idea! I'm going to tell my friend who is trying to come up with something for her son's 8th birthday next month.

That cake is ADORABLE.
It is...but let me warn you now, so you can warn your friend Agent, if she wants to attempt to bake that cake...make sure you freeze it as the instructions offer as an option and TRY and find a non super moist cake. For my test run cake I used the Pillsbury confetti cake and that was PERFECT. For the actual day of the party- my cake fell apart even after freezing because it was a super moist mix (HUGE mistake) and I had to run out to the store and get two pound cakes to stick together with frosting and make up for it. But I was extremely happy with making that cake vs. spending money on one. Especially since the pirate cake at Publix was $80.00!!!! The $50- cake would only be enough for 20people and I had 25 kids...so making my own was MUCH better. LOL
Oh yeah - Agent is going to bake that cake! Like hell I will. LOL! It's all I can do to defrost the Girl Scout cookies I have in the freezer. LOL!
LOL! The Easily Mammoth?? I thought mine was bad. LOL!
