I'm on the fence about how I feel about this episode.
The "over worked female executive" story has been done, done and done again.
I found that part of it a little stale.
I have liked Lucas, up until this episode.
I'm wondering why he's all of a sudden turned into some kind of neanderthal.
I mean really, he comes home to find his lady late for work and worrying about a sick child and he goes all horn-dog?
Because he made a bet with House that he could catch a quickie with her?
There were several times during this episode where I was convinced it was all going to turn out to be a dream.
Some lesson for Cuddy about slowing down.
And I'm not sure the writers really put any resolve on the issues they brought up.
There is never any proper dialogue between Cuddy and Lucas about his tasteless sex bet with House.
It seemed very strange to me that Cuddy just "accepted" the fact that she had a sick child at home and her nanny was not returning her phone calls.
That would have sent most mothers running home.
Overall, I think the episode had the potential for a lot more, it just missed the mark somehow.
Maybe it's because I've never understood the character.
Especially the whole adoption thing.
It's always seems to me that Cuddy wants it all, but can't keep up with it all.
