Hello everyone! Thought it was time to start a new thread. Been a while since I've been in here. Just a lot going on..and been busy. Dealing with a bad knee too. I finally had an MRI done yesterday...with the dr. suggesting it the last two visits..so guess it was time. It is sore and I can deal with it when I'm at home..but the days I work..standing on my feet 8 hours a day...really takes a toll on my knee. It swells up and I can barely walk toward the end of the day. It's been giving me problems since the end of Nov..or first of Dec... long enough. I go back to the dr. on Tues to get the results of the MRI and what is the next step on getting me better.
Warmed up here the past few days..being in the 60's and 70's during the day. Loving it. We had a nasty thunder storm, with lightning last night..but sun is shining pretty now.
I'm so tired today...just lazing around, not doing much today. The last two days were running errands (despite the knee problem..still gotta get things done)..so today I'm resting! Hope everyone else is having a good week.

P.S. American Idol started back up...I look forward to that each week...even though right now..it's a lot of bad ones..but some are really comical.

Awww...sorry to hear about your knee...sounds painful. And especially when you are standing all day at work...thats like me...when I leave the store, I ache all over. I had surgery about 2 1/2 weeks ago, they removed a tumor from my uterus, I went to the Dr today for the biopsy results...luckily, it turned out to be benign...but he couldnt tell me what caused it or anything...he didnt even bother to check me out(I had a lot of bleeding), just talked to me briefly about the biopsy results, I left feeling annoyed. I just feel like I go around in circles with Doctors and they never really answer my questions, just give me a lot of "pat responses".
Its very rainy here and chilly too, so many rural schools closed down because of slick roads.
I gave up watching "American Idol" a couple of seasons ago...but may have to tune in this year, just to see what I think of Ellen as a judge.

Hey lady,

yea it's hard when your on your feet all day. Hopefully the Dr. will have some news for you next week about it and you can get some help to make it feel better. Just hang in there.

Well today was my friends mom's funeral. It was nice and my friend and her sisters looked good. Sorry they had to lose their mom. She was such a dear swee lady. She will be truly missed. My friend is on her way home now. She said she would stay an extra day, but it's easier to take care of her disabled daughter at home. I don't blame her. It is truly hard for her when they are traveling. So got to only spend a few hours with her is all. But maybe this spring I can get down to see her and spend some time with her and her family again. Well take care and don't work to hard.:winkq:

Awww...how sad... so sad to loose your Mom...I still miss my Mom. Sometimes, Doctors just annoy me...they really dont have time to 'dig deep" and figure out the problems you are suffering with. Hope you are feeling OK.

Passionatic...I know the feeling. Had the MRI done..went to the dr. yesterday, and he wants me to see one of his colleagues in the same practice..but this dr. specializes in my type of knee problems..but I'm like you still not clear what the problem is. This dr. I was seeing ..I like, but he just says he was puzzled..cause he just knew it was only arthritis..but now he's saying the arthritis isn't that bad for the pain and swelling to last this long..and looks like something torn..ligaments..tendons I'm guessing. So had to make an appt with this other dr. I left the office...got in my car and started crying. Only because I was just wanting to get this over with and get rid of the pain. Can't see this other dr. till Feb. 17...so that means even more delays if I need surgery and sounds like I will..that laproscopic type. Which recovery time is quick..and if it rids me of my pain..I say go for it. I'm gonna call every other day to see if there's a cancellation...the receptionist says sometimes they can fit me in that way. In the mean time...getting the necessary paperwork done to take a leave of absence from work starting now. I can not stand on my feet any more..till I get some relief.
And Julie...again, I'm sorry for your friend's loss. How is everyone doing? Have you heard any..since they left?

Oh Goodness! I know how you feel! And when you have to wait to see another doctor, its so frustrating, and meanwhile, you are in pain. Hang in there and hopefully they can figure out what they can do to help you. I've been coming home from work everyday and putting the heating pad on.
