View Full Version : Forget Bare Minerals...
About a month ago I was asking about Bare Minerals because I had just gotten the starter kit. I had to stop using it because it made my face break out something awful. I went online and found some websites about BM with women's feedback and apparently there is something in the minerals that can aggravate acne-prone skin. No kidding!! I'm back to my Estee Lauder and hopefully the breakouts will subside. I should have asked my dermatologist before I started using it but I didn't. So as a warning - if you have oily skin or are prone to breakouts avoid this product! :anon2d: This is what I'm wearing until my zits go away.
Well doesn't that bite. You buy a product to make your skin look better and it makes you break out? Oy.

:anon2d:I'll join you Agent. I bought some BeautiControl products at a party and I look like I'm 13...not in youth but in zits! And the eye cream caused my eyelids to swell, so the paper bag is most definitely on until the eyes get back to normal. My eyes look like Stefano DiMera.....eeeeeeekkkk!
Speaking of bad skin, has anyone tried that new Zeno machine they have out there that is supposed to make your skin look better within 24-48 hours? I believe it starts at $150 and from what I read, it actually puts heat on the pimple and burns it away, but it wont burn or damage your skin.
What? I haven't heard anything about this. I'm gong to have to Google this.
Well, I'm going to scratch Bare Minerals off my list of things to try. Sorry to hear about the breakout. UGH. I am almost 40 and have the occasional flare up as it is-it's great to be treating acne along side my teenagers. NOT!
Kris--I used to use Beauticontrol all the time and loved it but got sick of the cost and not being able to purchase it from anyone locally. Now I'm using Oil of Olay-have used it for about a month and really like it. Here's hoping your paper bag can come off soon. :)
but I didn't need more makeup in my drawer. Now I'm glad that I didn't. Can you get your money back on it? It would be a shame to have to just toss it all.

Don't scratch it off your list. I've used it for about 2 years now and would not go back to liquid makeup. It feels great on your face and looks good. People actually ask me what I'm wearing because it looks so natural. Bare Minerals is you either love it or you hate it. I love it. It takes a couple of days to get used to putting it on because it is different that liquid makeup. I have heard a few people who have broken out with it, but most people really like it.
