1.18.99 MarLie sinks even deeper into her mental depression, feeling that if her own sister can't forgive her that NO one can, and goes down to the docks, where she again contemplates taking that one, last swim. Tyrone, who has nothing better to do when he's not trying to get her off, just happens to be there, and talks her down off of her suicide fringe yet again when MarLie realises that even if she DID jump, he'd just follow her anyway. He takes her back to jail, and later is subjected to yet another of Jake's "Jeopardy" rounds. Later, Donna and Tyrone band together in a united cause -- to convince MarLie to plead insanity at her arraignment. MarLie wants to just go for a straight guilty -- she knows that anything else will make her look like she's trying to get away with her crimes. All and sundry are shocked when MarLie isn't the only Love/Hudson twin to show up at the arraignment! Vicky shows up to speak with the judge, but instead of raising MarLie's depression, Vicky's words only make MarLie feel worse. The arraignment won't be the end of the story though -- now that Vic's back, she and Jake rub their brains together and realise that MarLie couldn't have done all this on their own. (Vic has apparently forgotten Cindy being there that day.) Scoops Section #2: How Dumber Can Dozie Get? Cindy may be down, but she's not out. She's desperate to cover up her role in the Vic scandal, as well as get back the "evidence" against Grant. She runs into Grant (who had no luck when he told MarLie to "hand it over") searching for the tape at the MacKinnon place, but neither have had any luck. Fortunately, our friendly neighborhood nurse can add just as well as the next nurse, and she figures out that Dozie is carrying Cameron Junior. To save herself from a cell, she tells Dozie she'll keep quiet on one condition -- find the tape, and give it to her. To save her own skin, Dozie repeats the recent fiasco of releasing Dr. Hale -- she finds the tape, and hands it over to the former Mrs. Harrison. Cindy's happy as a clam to have the tape back, and she and Grant spend their spare time plotting MarLie's downfall. No way are they going to take any of the blame for MarLie's actions. Don't look for Cindy's troubles to be over yet -- she's still under suspicion for her recent actions. (Where's Gary when you need him? Oh, yeah, off simpering over Cameron's baby. What a waste of a good character.) Scoops Section #3: Sparky to the Rescue! Just because she can't actually do the deed, it doesn't mean that she's willing to give up. When Cass taunts Lila again about her "loveless marriage", she tells him that she and Mate have consummated their marriage. Of course, that doesn't stop Lila from drooling over Cass whenever he's around. Sparky is downright peeved when Lila turns her back on him, and shows his displeasure by bringing a Frankie-look-alike to town to make trouble for her and Cass. C/Am decide to plan a romantic family get-together, but that idea gets a little soured when Alli flat-out refuses to go. She's not overly thrilled with the idea of having a step-father only 13 years older than herself who spent the first ten years of his adult life in prison. Without meaning to, she has become Sparky's latest pawn in his "get Amanda for myself" scheme. C/Am decide they can have fun without Alli, but are interrupted by Sparky, who has followed them with the intent of hypnotizing Amanda. Hypnosis, conniving with Zak, and using Alli aren't his only weapons though -- Sparky proves to be the one holding the brain this week when he decides to start looking into Dozie and Cameron's relationship. But rather than take anyone's word for anything, Sparky goes for a more reliable source -- he starts digging into Dozie's medical file. Scoops Section #4: Russian Love Affair Felicia has finally decided to stop relying on Cass for her rides everywhere. After nearly missing a VERY important date because of an idiot driver, she has hired her own chauffeur. This turns out to be more of an adventure than she thought! Sergei Radzimzky (I've also heard Radzinsky, Radzimski, and Radzinski) is a young Russian musician who just might be Felicia's new dream man in Bay City. (I have high hopes for Sergei -- he's bound to be better than Alexander Nikos or John the John, Felicia's two most recent bad dates.) Scoops Section #5: Mom, I'm Home!
Casting News TVGen has recently announced that Emmy nominee Kimberlin Brown, best known for playing Sheila Carter Warwick on "The Bold & the Beautiful" (she crossed over from "The Young & the Restless") will be stopping by AW. She'll appear in a couple episodes at the beginning of March, and will be involved with MarLie's storyline. There is no official word from NBC yet, but it's assumed she will play the role of someone in MarLie's psych ward, probably a patient. A few years ago, Ellen Wheeler did a couple episodes on B&B as Sarah during Sheila's time in the hospital.
Truth & Rumor Rumor has it that Mark Mortimer has been dropped from AW. Nuh-uh! Although he WAS dropped to recurring status in November of 1998, he signed a new contract a mere days later. Mark's current contract runs out sometime in late February.
Starkisms, Anyone? I've got two new Starkisms for my collection that I just couldn't resist sharing. If you missed the previous three, a "Starkism" is a theory on who and what Jordan Stark really is that has been e-mailed to me by someone who claimed it was the total and complete truth.
Starkism #5: In 1798, Sparky ticked off the wrong people. They killed his wife, and scarred his face permanently. Every generation, Sparky is given a chance to right the wrongs of the past. How to do this? The reincarnation of his wife (someone different every time) has to fall in love with him despite his scars and be willing to give up everything for him.
Keep an Eye Out For... Diego Serrano (ex-Tomas Riviera) as Carlos, on an upcoming episode of "SOF Special Ops Force". This episode originally aired last October, but they're rerunning the season at the moment. Saturday's ep was the second of the season, and Serrano was either on the third, fourth, or fifth. (I know, real helpful.) Check your local listings -- if the episodes are described at all, it was entitled "Party Girl", and the synopsis should have something to do with Margo (former-DOOL castmate Melinda Clarke) playing a role to help find a dignitary's daughter. Here, it airs Saturday night's at 12:05 am, but that's on BCTV -- I have no idea what American network it airs on. Kevin McClatchey (ex-Nick #2) on the January 21st episode of "ER". NBC loves re-using it's actors on it's different shows -- other AW alums to appear on "ER" over the years have included Jeff Phillips (my favorite Matt) and Ellen Wheeler (MarLie), and "Law & Order" (prior to it's soap stage) utilized a number of talented AW alums, including Anna Kathryn Holbrook (ex-Sharlene) and Franchelle Dorn (ex-Rita Madison -- my apologies if I mis-spelt her first name).
Rants & Raves Rants: Oh, please. One more minute of the Remy saga and I'm going to choke. If she truly doesn't care if Nick finds out about Tito, TELL HIM! I still don't see why she needed to keep Tito a secret in the first place. Oh, if we could all have a friend as loving and as loyal as Remy. Warning to Nick and Paulina: Watch out for this two-faced back-stabber. What is Jake's beef lately? Yes, I understand the whole kidnapping issue, but this is a bit much from a man who single-handedly did his best (and to a large degree succeeded) to ruin MarLie's life. "Put her in prison for life!" Not for kidnapping, as far as I know. I look at it this way -- Jake got off scot-free for what he did, so why should MarLie be stuck rotting in a cell somewhere? What was that deal with a shirtless Mate on Thursday? I found myself mentally comparing Matt Crane's chest to Brian Krause's and Jeff Phillips'. Sorry, Jeff and Matt, but Brian won. Matt and Jeff could both use a little muscle on their torsos. Raves: Two thumbs up for Chris' Love Lady admission. While I couldn't care less about his relationship with Toni (I didn't even know they still HAD one), at least his cross-dressing profession is out in the open now. Tito's a fairly steady presence in my raves -- Troy Hall is equally successful as Tito the Manipulator and Tim the Long-Lost Son. Kudos to Passanante and Laiman for their job on Alli's return. It was funny, interesting, and downright realistic. It'll be great to have a voice of reason in this whole insane storyline. About time someone pointed out how ill-suited our debutant princess and our father-killing cuckolder are. Alli's spoiled, self-centered, bratty...a true Cory, and a perfect example of Amanda's daughter. It's a little disappointing that Alli's obviously brighter than her mother, but it's refreshing to see ONE blonde character that isn't the poster child for all dumb blonde jokes. I love the David/Jordan morphing thing (despite hating the supernatural bent -- is this AW or DOOL?), but could they please lose the laugh? Everytime Sparky does that little donkey giggle, I can feel the hair on the back of my neck start doing the macarena.
Administrative Note I apologize for even having to include this, but it's come to my notice that some people like to take scoops, put their name on them, and post them on the web. I've received a few e-mails about this lately, regarding my scoops as well as Dustin's, and people who like to "intellectually steal". I don't care if you want to use my scoops -- in fact, I find it flattering. Just do me a favor -- give me credit. Scoops are scoops, but the way they're put together, and the comments, etc, are mine. If you want to use my scoops, go for it -- just please give me credit for them. Thanks. ;) |
