Peaceful...sorta.

Our First Real Snow

It FINALLY snowed for real yesterday.  It's even still here today.  You'll also be happy to know that this is the same spot where the garbage can was and as you can see, someone cleaned up the mess.  Also, no person sized holes in the ice.  Phew!

I had a great walk in the park.  It was right before school let out so I felt like I pretty much had the entire place to myself.  Just a few loners like me and a handful of people at the skate rink.

Speaking of which, it may have been a very peaceful walk as well if it wasn't for the Avril Lavigne blasting from the rink.  It's so bizarre to be out and about, enjoying scenes like the one pictured above, only to be bombarded with teenage angst. I would have been annoyed if it wasn't so damn funny.

You see?  Arts and dafts follows me EVERYWHERE!

Wow, this is a beautiful shot. I know how cold it was yesterday and I'm not sure I would have braved the icy air. Only 4 degrees here, brrrr. But with this result, well worth the shivers. Just gorgeous.

Hey Ry, you've been spending alot of time in the park! I'm jealous, I like the shot, the textures of the shadow and the gloomy darkness of the trees, makes for an interesting picture. The balance between bright sky, dark forest, and funky foreground is cool. oh and almost 45.

Great shot but I can't help but keep imagining that is a mouse?

Ahhh nothing conveys the pristine beauty of a winter scene like Avril Lavigne.

Ah, so pretty. And deserted. No way that's Brooklyn. Confess, you went to Siberia, took this and then got back to trick us, right? HA! Nothing gets past me.
